You will also visit Columbia Icefield, Lake Louise, Victoria Glacier, Valley of Ten Peaks and beautiful Moraine Lake.

Day 1 (approx. 450 km)

  • Enjoy a scenic informative drive through the Beautiful Alberta Foothills and Magnificent Canadian Rockies
  • Entering Banff National Park - is Canada's oldest national park, established in 1885. 6,641 sq km (2,564 sq mi)
  • Visiting Two Jack Lake and Lake Minnewanka for great view. Lake Minnewanka is the Park's largest lake and the only one where power boats are permitted. We may see elks and bighorn sheep's on way to lake
  • Geological wonders of the Hoodoo's with great views of the Bow Valley, Tunnel Mountain Summit - viewpoint trail along the Bow River to the Surprise Corner and Bow Falls with Banff Springs Hotel
  • Adventure drive on Cable car excursion (Gondola) on Sulphur Mountain
  • Lunch at Regal View Garden at the Summit the Banff Gondola Upper Terminal
  • Passing by Banff Springs Hotel
  • 1 hour in Banff Down-town - for the Shopping, free activities
  • After Lake Louise we'll drive NW up the Icefield Parkway (Hwy # 93) all the way to the Jasper to some of the most majestic mountain scenery in North America. A scenic, relaxing drive and home to a variety of wildlife that offers you a chance to view elk, deer, sheep, coyote, mountain goat, black bear and occasionally grizzly bear
  • Shortly visiting:
    • Bow Lakes and the Crowfoot Glacier for photo opportunity - Bow Glacier, Crowfoot Glacier and Bow Lake are Source of Bow River
    • Bow Summit and Peyto Lake - During the summer, significant amounts of glacial rock flour flow into the lake, and these suspended rock particles give the lake a bright, turquoise color. The lake is fed by the Peyto Creek, which drains water from the Caldron Lake and Peyto Glacier and flows into the Mistaya River - total length of 38 km. Mistaya merges into the North Saskatchewan River at Saskatchewan River Crossing
  • Entering Jasper National Park - the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies, spanning 10,878 km2 (4200mi2). Wildlife in the park include elk, caribou, moose, mule deer, white-tailed deer, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, grizzly bear, black bear, beaver, Rocky Mountain pika, hoary marmot, gray wolf, mountain lion and wolverine.
  • Again shortly visiting:
    • Tangle Falls
    • Athabasca Falls - Most powerful falls in Rockies ( river tumbles 25 m into gorge ) El. 1200 m
  • Arrival in Jasper and we'll check-in at the Hotel
  • The evening we will spend in Jasper. Tour the town site and have time to do a little shopping
  • Dinner time or evening meal we can have out in the town or in the Hotel. Your choice!!

Day 2 (approx. 450 km)

  • Breakfast time and after checking-out
  • Have a short drive to Pyramid Lake for nice viewpoint and possibility to see some wild life
  • Jasper Tramway - 7 min. cable car ride transports you to 2,265 m elevation for spectacular view of Jasper town site surrounded by sparkling lakes and craggy peaks. Hike on Whistlers Summit Trail (El. 2,465 m) - from upper tramway terminal 1.5 km trail leads up to bare, rounded summit of Whistlers Mountain. There, you are rewarded with a 360-degree view and a sighting dial to identify the peaks surrounding you
  • After Jasper Tramway we go straight to Columbia Icefield - It is about 325 km2 in area, 100 to 365 m (328' to 1,197') in depth and receives up to seven metres (23 feet) of snowfall per year. The icefield feeds eight major glaciers.
  • Athabasca Glacier Ice Explorer Tour (90 min.) - Open from April 15 - October 15
  • Quick look around Glacier Gallery - Icefield Interpretive Center
  • Lunch time at Lake Louise Village
  • Visiting teal-blue Lake Louise and Victoria Glacier - the lake has such a wonderful color. Mountains and glaciers surround this "Diamond in the Wilderness"
  • And last the Valley of Ten Peaks and beautiful turquoise-blue Moraine Lake (only from June to September)
  • Leaving Lake Louise and strait driving to Calgary
  • Arriving in Calgary between 17:30 - 18:00.
